Traffic Management Operative – Non Practicing (TMO NP)

One Day Course

TMO NP is the next step up from TTM Worker. This course gives candidates the theory knowledge to maintain existing closures under the instruction of an STMS and install closues on low speed roads (CAT A) for works outside the edgeline.

Qualification: This is a Waka Kotahi TTM warrant role and candidates will be issued with an identification card showing their qualifications. There is also a unit standard for this role which is completed during this workshop:

US 31959: Demonstrate knowledge of temporary traffic management

Attendees will be issued with a certificate and a wallet sized card to carry on site upon successful completion of this course to be used as evidence until their Waka Kotahi Warrant Car arrives

TMO NP
The TMO NP Course gives candidates the knowledge to Set up, maintain and remove TTM for roadside or shoulder activities where all TTM equipment (including TTM vehicles) is outside the edgeline (or edge of seal if there is no edgeline), maintain TTM at an existing static worksite when the in charge STMS is away from the worksite. The STMS must return to the worksite to carry out any required changes, complete inspection activities.

PREREQUISITES:
The TTM Worker unit standard is the minimum prerequisite to this warrant.
